Communication
People often cringe when they hear the word “communication” as it’s most often associated with things we dread. Term papers, public speaking, long talks about finances or legal issues all come to mind when we hear the word, but communication serves a much broader, much more enjoyable range of situations and opportunities. Written and spoken communication is the foundation of our existence and ability to create goals, plan for our future, and build and maintain healthy relationships.

My passion for communication is without limits. Not only was I a dedicated educator with a focus on communication for nearly twenty years where I taught everything from basic writing, creative writing, and technical writing, I also have a deep connection with writing, speaking, and talking with people through formal and informal situations. I have also kept a private journal for more than thirty years, write poetry, fiction, and nonfiction, with some publication success.

All this to say, I also understand that communication is not everyone’s passion. In fact, through teaching, I learned that many people struggle with deep anxiety with communication, especially with romantic partners, family, and coworkers. This is not to mention the added anxiety of a cover letter, job interview, or professional presentation. Even our most intimate relationships can be fraught with miscommunication that costs us time and can take an emotional toll.

Life Changes Coaching is dedicated to helping clients build the life they desire and deserve. A big part of that is getting clear and being clear with others, which is why communication is so important. Going through changes or making changes starts first with clear intentions and being able to communicate those intentions with others.
From the kitchen table to the boardroom, the understanding and practicing of effective communication is key. Anything from resolving childcare concerns to negotiating with colleagues and superiors, knowing the appropriate rhetorical strategies and problem-solving skills can turn conflict into growth for everyone involved.

Context
We are living in many different worlds. In a matter of minutes, we can have a polite interaction with a cashier, answer multiple texts or emails, post on multiple social media platforms, lead a board meeting, and discuss family events with loved ones.
Whatever the challenge, or multiple and overlapping challenges, LCC can help! I offer both one-on-one and/or group coaching for nearly any rhetorical situation or communication challenge. With the tools I offer, you will be better able to prepare, approach, and deliver in any situation that may arise, whether it be personal, professional, or (increasingly common) a mix of both.

No matter the situation, clear, concise, open communication is a top priority for success in moving a business forward, inspiring others, settling differences, avoiding confusion, making a plan, and knowing what's next for all involved.

LCC not only helps with spoken and written communication, but addresses body language, facial expressions, jargon, PowerPoint slides, building confidence, practice and delivery so that even the most intimidating or complex situation can be a joyful challenge, a learning experience, and maybe even a little bit of fun.

In a world filled with more opportunity for communication than ever before, why not empower yourself, your family, your team, or employees with the best ways possible to effectively communicate in ways that improve everyone's ability to deliver their message, compromise, and produce life-changing results for everyone?

Life Changes Coaching is here for even in the most distressing situations, including short deadlines, lack of knowledge/jargon, a varied audience, location, time of day, and even weather conditions.
